About the Founder

Chris Control Automation was founded by Ing. Christgood Appiah, a Ghanaian electrical and automation professional with a strong passion for teaching and a wealth of industry experience. He completed his HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at the Takoradi Technical University and went on to earn a BSc in Electrical/Electrical Engineering from the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana. Christgood’s passion for teaching began early. During his HND studies, he regularly taught his classmates to help them understand certain electrical theory concepts. Later, while in Wa, Upper West Region, he served as a part-time teacher in Wa Technical Institute, training 3rd-year electrical students in motor control systems.

Professionally, he has worked in various respected companies, including;

Africa Cola Brewery Company, Accra: Instrumentation Technician, Regimanuel Concrete Prodcut Ltd, Accra: Electrical Technician, IBF Ghana Ltd, Tema: Principal Electrical/Instrumentation Technician, Ghana Water Company Ltd, Wa: Supervising Electrical/Instrumentation Technician, and currently working in a global mining industry, Underground Mining Alliance as an Instrumentation  Technician, a Subsidiary of Perenti Group Australia, for the client AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana.

He has also undertaken numerous professional trainings, including advanced courses in Instrumentation and PLC/SCADA design. With his strong academic foundation and extensive industry experience, Christgood is well-equipped to design, troubleshoot, and optimize complex electrical and automation systems.

His decision to establish Chris Control Automation came from a desire to share knowledge, inspire learners, and bridge the gap between theory and practice. His mission is to ensure that students, technicians, and engineers can Think, Draw and Build real-world solutions with confidence.
